Enhancing User Engagement with Intangible Cultural Heritage Through Gamified Musical Interaction: A Case Study of Nüshu
The Voice of Nüshu is a digital experience that integrates interactive storytelling and music, aiming to explore contemporary approaches to the digital dissemination of traditional culture and the mechanisms of emotional connection. The work centers on Nüshu, a unique women’s script from Hunan, China, and presents a woman’s life journey from childhood to marriage through ink-style animation and simple interaction. During the experience, users can observe the writing process of Nüshu and immerse themselves in its distinctive emotional and cultural significance through music and visual narrative. By combining narrative design with the re-creation of cultural symbols, the project seeks to enhance understanding of Nüshu’s historical background and contemporary relevance, offering an exploratory case for the digital preservation and cross-cultural communication of traditional women’s culture.
