Silhouettes of Ai investigates the phenomenon of 'Fastest Fashion' and its implication on resource extraction through the lens of Ai. With the rise of fast fashion, categorized by rapid production cycles and disposable clothing, the fashion industry has become one of the largest consumers of natural resources. Based off my own experience as a garment maker, i channel ideas behind new media art and emerging data driven art to come up with a body of work that delves into the creative fusion of textile art and Ai generative moving image. Silhouettes of Ai utilizes Ai Algorithms and machine learning techniques to generate new visual compositions that is non-conventional to textile art. Silhouettes of Ai aims to explore the environmental and social consequences of resource extraction associated with textile production, while considering the potential of Ai and textile art as a means to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices.
