A silent Europa Regina waits inside her frame while waves of text flow back and forth; she wants to speak, but her voice has been silenced.

Once a viewer is in range, she takes the viewer’s face to intertwine it with her own.

Europa Regina is a data visualization of femicides in Europe. Violence against women tends to be considered a private and domestic problem. It needs to get out of the domestic frame and flow into the public realm.
